Ex-Pet
Tenacious Acrobat
In the heart of the jungle, a young marmoset named Raja begins a new chapter. At just ten months old, Raja's early life was marred by confinement in a small cage, held illegally as a 'pet' by a well-meaning but misguided family. The cramped conditions left little room for Raja to thrive.
Raja's fortunes changed thanks to the compassionate efforts of the Endangered Primate Foundation. Rescued from his confined existence, Raja was brought to Jungle Friends, a sanctuary dedicated to giving primates a second chance.
At Jungle Friends, Raja found more than a home; he discovered a haven where he could leap and bound freely. Each jump and swing symbolize his transformation from captive to a creature reclaiming his destiny.
Raja's curious nature flourishes in his new environment. He delights in the vibrant life around him, from the chirping of fellow marmosets to the gentle hum of his caregivers. Often seen hanging upside down from his favorite perch, Raja engages in lively chatter, building bonds and finding joy in simple companionship.
Raja's journey from adversity to triumph makes him a symbol of resilience and the power of compassion. As he swings from branch to branch, his heart brims with gratitude, knowing that at Jungle Friends, he has found not just a sanctuary, but a second chance at life.
Raja's spirit doppelganger is Aladdin. Like Aladdin, Raja has transitioned from a life of confinement to one of freedom and adventure. His curious and adventurous spirit mirrors Aladdin's journey from the streets to discovering a whole new world.
Curiosity in his eyes, Raja embraces every new experience at the sanctuary.
A little marmoset with a big personality, Raja is a favorite at Jungle Friends.
Best buddies Raja and Rory share a playful moment over a delicious grape.
