My Story

Annabelle

Annabelle’s transformation from rags to riches began when Jungle Friends rescued her from a life of neglect in a condemned trailer, where she had been abandoned by hoarders. For nearly seven years, this little capuchin endured a grim existence inside a rusted cage within a trailer plagued by holes in the roof and pervasive mold on the walls. Her only bed was made of dirty rags, and she often went without food or water.

Now, Annabelle lives a transformed life in the nurturing care of Jungle Friends. Her resilience is remarkable. She has blossomed into a health enthusiast, prioritizing her nutrition by always choosing her vegetables first. Additionally, Annabelle has discovered a passion for her version of yoga, displaying an unexpected and impressive degree of flexibility even for a monkey.

Annabelle’s recovery is a heartwarming example of how an animal’s life can improve with proper care and a loving environment. She now enjoys her days playing and interacting with other monkeys, embracing every moment of her new life with joy and enthusiasm.

Annabelle was introduced to Frankie, another weeper capuchin shortly after her arrival and they are doing just great together with lots of playtime and lengthy grooming sessions!

Like her kindred famous doppelganger, Yogi Seane Corn, Annabelle too began her journey with a history marked by personal struggles. Yet, they both found solace and resilience through wellness practices and the transformative power of "yoga".
