Aunt Gizmo, who arrived at Jungle Friends at the age of 30, spent her entire life as a subject of cognitive and behavioral research after being born at Wooster College in Ohio. Alongside her companions, Aunt Jake and Alex, she retired to sunny Florida after the study concluded.

Both Aunt Gizmo and Alex arrived at Jungle Friends diabetic and on medication. Thanks to special diets and attentive care, they now thrive on good nutrition alone. Once hesitant to explore the outdoors, Aunt Gizmo has grown to love it—soaking up the sunshine and embracing a more natural life. Famous for her notorious side-eye and sweet tooth, she delights in spending time with her pals. Even at over 40 years old, Aunt Gizmo stays active and playful, making the most of her days outside.

Aunt Gizmo shares similarities with her kindred famous doppelganger, Betty White, in warmth, charm, resilience, and love for nature. Despite her age, Aunt Gizmo embraces life to the fullest.
