My Story

B O N N I E

 The Journey to Jungle Friends

Once kept as “pets,” Bonnie and her companions, Ernie, Hayley, and Spanky escaped from their cage, leading to a frightening incident that left a housekeeper injured. White-faced capuchins are more territorial and aggressive than other capuchin species, and the situation quickly escalated. Afterward, their owner realized it was no longer safe or fair to keep them in a home. The monkeys were then relocated to Jungle Friends, where they now live safely and freely in a natural environment.

Despite her instinctive wild nature, Bonnie has a sweet side, especially towards her current companion, Katie. The two older ladies are a perfect match, spending their days at a slower pace with plenty of foraging and playful activities, such as frolicking in the trees and swinging from ropes. Additionally, Bonnie delights in scouring the grass for delectable treats to enjoy, all with Katie by her side.

Bonnie's spirit doppelganger is Zooey Deschanel.

Deschanel is known for portraying quirky and whimsical characters in her roles, which parallel Bonnie's playful and spirited nature.

Savoring Dinner:

"Mmm... this bread is everything."

Realization:

"Wait, hold up. This is the last meal? For the whole day?"

Debate:

"Okay, but let’s be real here—who decided that? Shouldn't there be, like, a ‘second snack’ policy? We need to talk about this."
