At Jungle Friends, Chucky, a lively brown Capuchin monkey, has found his safe haven. His journey to the sanctuary is a tale of rescue and resilience. Before he turned two, Chucky was destined for the spotlight in a music video. However, his life took a dramatic turn when he was confiscated during a drug bust, sparing him from a life of performing.

The conditions Chucky was rescued from were far from ideal. According to animal control, Chucky had free run of a house filled with ropes hanging from the ceiling and a haze of marijuana smoke so thick that even Chucky was affected. Those chaotic days are now behind him.

Today, Chucky thrives in a drug-free environment surrounded by other monkeys. His days are filled with play and exploration, and his boundless energy and playful antics bring joy to everyone at the sanctuary.
