Hattie, affectionately named by the care staff, began a new chapter of her life at Jungle Friends in October 2017. Previously a pet, Hattie's growing aggression made home life challenging, prompting her guardian to make the compassionate choice to bring her to the sanctuary.

At Jungle Friends, Hattie has flourished in her outdoor sanctuary, relishing her newfound freedom. She spends her days observing the squirrels and birds that share her space, becoming an avid nature enthusiast.

However, the highlight of Hattie's day is undoubtedly mealtime. Known for having the grandest appetite in Munchkinland, she eagerly expresses her joy with jubilant shouts as she enjoys her food. Hattie's transformation is a testament to the power of compassion and the sanctuary's dedication to giving primates a second chance at a fulfilling life.
