Common Marmoset

Confiscation
Grape Escape Artist
Calla was confiscated by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service after a major federal investigation into illegal breeding and trafficking on the Dark Web. She was one of eight monkeys rescued on March 31, 2025. From the moment she arrived, she surprised everyone with her bold, social nature.
She was quickly paired with her partner Pattycake, and between the two, Calla makes it clear who is really in charge, and she has no problem showing off her bossy charm.
Food is Calla’s love language. With one of the biggest appetites in Munchkinland, she especially adores grapes and her canned marmoset diet. What began as a shy and timid little marmoset has blossomed into a confident, trusting monkey who is never far from the food bowl.
When she is not eating, Calla is in motion, running, jumping, and playing in the trees and plants in her outdoor habitat, living an “almost wild” life. With her mix of sass, appetite, and growing trust, Calla is as unforgettable as she is lovable.
Calla’s spirit doppelgänger is Sofía Vergara. Much like Sofía, Calla is outspoken, playful, and full of boss-lady energy. She knows how to command attention, whether she is stealing Pattycake’s snacks, running the breakfast line, or charming caregivers with her sass and sweetness.
Confiscated by U.S. Fish & Wildlife after a major trafficking investigation, she’s now thriving at Jungle Friends, ruling Munchkinland with her bold personality and big appetite!
Calla loves exploring every inch of her habitat, pausing only to soak in the Florida sunshine.
She might be small, but she’s full of spark! Calla spends her days climbing, foraging, and keeping an eye on everything around her.
Calla's ears say drama, but her heart says sunshine.
This bold little marmoset runs the show, keeps Pattycake on his toes, and never misses snack time.
Calla loves food, friends, and freedom, and she’s finally living her best “Almost Wild” life.
