Kelli’s journey to Jungle Friends began at nine years old, leaving behind a life on the road that was less than ideal. She was once kept as a ‘pet,’ traveling cross-country in the close confines of an RV with her guardian. It didn’t take long for Kelli to express her frustration with this cramped lifestyle, leading to a clash with her guardian’s wife. The wife eventually issued an ultimatum: “It’s either me or the monkey.” In a move that surprised few, the husband chose his wife, paving the way for Kelli’s fresh start at Jungle Friends.

Upon her arrival at the sanctuary, Kelli was shy and reserved, opening her heart only to one fellow resident, Corky. The two have since become inseparable, sharing a spacious, naturalistic habitat where their playful spirits truly shine. Kelli is often seen instigating games of chase, giving Corky a playful slap before darting off into the trees. Corky, never one to pass up a bit of fun, eagerly joins the chase until he catches up with her, turning the tables in their playful pursuit.

Known affectionately as ‘The Princess’ for her grace and beauty, Kelli also goes by the nickname "The Social Climber." She can often be found scaling the trees, chatting with Corky, neighboring monkeys, and caregivers alike. Her lively and sociable nature is evident in her love for a good game of catch, which she can play for hours. Grooming sessions with Corky are another favorite pastime, a bonding ritual that deepens their close relationship. As night falls, you can always find the two nestled together in their cozy bedding, a testament to the loving companionship Kelli has found at Jungle Friends.
