The Journey to Jungle Friends
Harley and his companion Missy, found their new home after being surrendered from their previous lives as pets. Harley, a brown capuchin, had a significant medical condition: he was diabetic and initially required 25 units of insulin. Thankfully, his new environment provided them plenty of space to roam, a healthier diet, and dedicated care, allowing Harley's insulin needs to be significantly reduced to just eight units.
Despite Harley's medical routine, he remains a loving and forgiving monkey. He especially enjoys the company of new faces, both monkey and human, and greets visitors by placing his right hand over his heart and offering a warm smile.
Harley's spirit doppelganger is Nick Jonas. Nick was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at a young age and has faced the challenges of managing his condition with resilience and grace. Harley's welcoming nature and warm smiles mirror Nick's positive and inspirational presence. Despite their medical routines, they both lead fulfilling lives, demonstrating strength, adaptability, and a genuine connection with those around them.
