Meet Suki, one of the five special squirrel monkeys who made the leap from the Yerkes National Primate Research Center at Emory University to the lush landscapes of Jungle Friends. This move marks a heartwarming trend where universities are opting to retire their monkeys to sanctuary homes, giving these primates a chance to embrace a life filled with sunshine, freedom, and a lot of monkey business. 

Since swinging into his new home, Suki has blossomed. He’s become a social butterfly, striking up “conversations” with his neighbors and charming the care staff with his chatty nature. With his expressive eyes and inquisitive demeanor, Suki is always ready to engage, making it clear he’s thrilled with his new surroundings. 

Suki is also a meticulous scent marker. Every day, without fail, he sets about his self-assigned task of marking his food bowls and habitat, ensuring everything smells just right. His little way of saying, “This is my space, and I love it!” Whether mingling with his fellow residents or busying himself with his scent-marking routine, Suki thrives in his larger, more colorful life at Jungle Friends.
