Sloth and his companion, Don King, once thrived in the rich landscapes of Argentina, their native land. But their peaceful lives were shattered when they were stolen from the wild and sold into the harsh confines of laboratory research. Both were subjected to years of iron toxicity studies, enduring unimaginable isolation.

Confined to this small cage, Sloth could only catch glimpses of others like him, unable to reach out, play, or simply be a monkey. But now, at the sanctuary, everything has changed. At Jungle Friends, Sloth is able to feel the soft grass under his feet and the breeze against his skin. He is a world away from the sterile walls that once trapped him.

These days, Sloth spends his time with his new companion, Mia Senior. Together they climb, play, jump, and groom each other. Sloth’s good-natured spirit shines as he digs happily in the dirt. Watching him play is pure delight!
