My Story
Mikki and her companion Coco spent over three decades in the entertainment industry, accompanying The Hurdy Gurdy Man to parties and events as organ-grinder monkeys. However, now retired, the duo, known as The Hurdy Gurdy Girls, have embraced a more natural life in Florida at Jungle Friends sanctuary. Their presence has been a hit with everyone there.
If you happen to pass by their habitat, be sure to have some nuts handy. Once Mikki spots you, she'll dash over, clap twice, and extend her hand, expecting treats. And if you're empty-handed, be prepared for relentless clapping until you're persuaded to fetch some. Mikki doesn't take no for an answer!
Cher is Mikki's spirit doppelganger. Both know how to captivate an audience, whether with a clapping routine or a show-stopping costume. Cher’s fearless independence mirrors Mikki’s "won’t-take-no-for-an-answer" attitude when treats are involved.
