My Story

After 25 years as a "pet" monkey in Michigan, Max's guardian decided he needed a change and brought him to Jungle Friends. Initially uncertain about his new home, Max found comfort in his guardian's support, who stayed on-site for three weeks to help him settle in before bidding a tearful goodbye. Used to human interaction, Max quickly adapted to his new environment and monkey companions. Some monkeys enjoy his lively banter, while with others, he asserts his dominance, sometimes expressing displeasure through a well-aimed toss of food or toys.

Beyond navigating monkey politics, Max has discovered a thrilling new hobby: bug hunting. His technique is nothing short of spectacular, darting through the air with the agility of a ninja to capture insects in mid-flight. Observing Max in action is like watching a miniature, furry warrior on a relentless quest for the juiciest bug. His transformation from a house pet to a bug-hunting aficionado at Jungle Friends is not just impressive—it's inspiring. Max's resilience and adaptability have truly helped him thrive in his new home.
