Molly and her brother, Mike, arrived at Jungle Friends after facing a challenging past. Originally kept as 'pets' in South Florida, their situation took a dire turn during the 2004 hurricane season, which repeatedly damaged their cages. The stress and difficulty of maintaining their care led their owners to make the heartbreaking decision to schedule both monkeys for euthanasia.

However, a concerned neighbor stepped in and contacted Jungle Friends. Kari, the founder of Jungle Friends, immediately called the vet and assured him that the sanctuary would take in both Molly and Mike. The vet, relieved that he wouldn't have to euthanize two healthy monkeys, cooperated with the transfer.

Molly, who is diabetic, was initially on medication upon her arrival. Thanks to the dedicated care at Jungle Friends, her diabetes is now managed entirely through diet. Molly shares a strong and loving bond with her brother Mike. They are inseparable, always looking out for each other, sharing treats, and enjoying long grooming sessions together.
