When Lizzy, a spirited two-year-old monkey, first came to our sanctuary, she was brought by a guardian who understood that Lizzy needed a safe space to express herself and engage in play freely. The guardian, having received bruises from play sessions with Lizzy, realized that Lizzy was unaware of her own strength and required the companionship of other monkeys who could match her energy and play style.

Upon arriving at Jungle Friends, Lizzy was introduced to Udi, another spider monkey of the same age, who shared her initial zest for play. The two quickly formed a close bond, engaging in lively chases and playful wrestling, which helped Lizzy adjust to her new surroundings with ease.

However, as Lizzy matured, she began to show a more reserved and shy side, a notable shift from her earlier playfulness. While she continues to share a strong connection with Udi, she prefers quieter activities. Lizzy's behavior reflects her changing needs and personality as she grows older. She carefully explores her habitat, climbing structures with cautious curiosity and observing her environment from a distance.
