Former Lab
Bite-Sized Buddy
Jaws was among the 25 squirrel monkeys retired from nicotine studies and brought to Jungle Friends, making history as the first troop retired by the FDA—a milestone that garnered praise from CNN. Known for his complexity, Jaws is a friendly but introverted monkey, finding companionship mainly in his buddy, Moby. In his youth, Jaws had a reputation for biting, a behavior he used to compensate for his smaller size among the group. Over time, he has learned better manners and is now slowly earning back the trust of his troop, showing signs of growth and maturity.
Wolverine, like Jaws, was once known for his aggression and tough exterior, using his claws to compensate for inner vulnerability. Over time, both evolved, learning to trust others while maintaining their fierce independence and protective nature.
Jaws keeping a low profile, taking it all in. There's a lot more to this little guy than meets the eye.
Keeping watch from above, Jaws likes to stay on top of things—literally!
From biter to buddy, Jaws is showing his softer side one day at a time.
