Before finding his forever home at Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary, Gizmo enjoyed a habitat much like those at the sanctuary, complete with ropes to swing on, toys to play with, and leaves to munch on. However, disaster struck when floodwaters destroyed his habitat, making it unsafe for him to stay.

His devoted guardians, heartbroken at the thought of parting with Gizmo, reached out to Jungle Friends for help. Soon, they were on their way to Gainesville. Upon arriving at Jungle Friends, they saw firsthand the joy and necessity of monkeys being with their own kind. While it was a bittersweet moment, knowing Gizmo would thrive in the company of other monkeys brought them comfort.

Gizmo has since settled into his new home with ease. He's incredibly sweet and loves spending time in his runways, chatting with his caregivers and making new friends. Much of his day is spent swinging through his habitat, working up an appetite, and embracing his new life surrounded by fellow monkeys. Gizmo’s cheerful conversations and friendly nature have made him a beloved figure at the sanctuary, bringing smiles to both his human and monkey companions alike.
