Beth, a dear friend of Andrew and I, wrote this poem to help us ease our pain at this time.
The times we've had are in our minds,
the love is in our hearts
And there they'll stay forever,
even though we're far apart
And when we cry it's not for you
for we know you're safe
The tears we shed are for ourselves
and the loss that we can't face
Andrew was the love of my life and my best friend. For those of us who were fortunate enough to be in Andrew's life, our lives will never be the same.
I am so thankful for the memories and the love, and the laughter we shared. Andrew was the most amazing person I’ve ever known, he was the most compassionate, loving, honorable, and generous person I have ever known.
Andrew has always lived life to the fullest and swept me along in his adventures. Whether we were sailing, bike riding, hiking, or dancing in the kitchen, I never had more fun in my life.
At the same time, Andrew ran circles around everyone at Jungle Friends,
and had rare relationships with monkeys in our care.
Andrew will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
